We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Fist Assist Devices, LLC, creators of the FDA-cleared Fist Assist FA-1 pneumatic compression device!

UPDATED OCTOBER 18, 2021 – ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED ON AUGUST 6, 2021

The Fist Assist FA-1 is a wearable, patent-protected device that provides focused compression therapy to the arm. The massage-like therapy increases artery and vein circulation, which can provide important health benefits to patients with a variety of health conditions.

AIROS Medical has been named the exclusive U.S. distributor of the Fist Assist FA-1 device for two years. The device was created by Dr. Tej Singh, MBA, a vascular surgeon and CEO of Fist Assist Devices, LLC, headquartered in Los Altos Hills, California. Dr. Singh is a prescriber of AIROS compression therapy devices and garments.

Here is a quote from Dr. Singh taken from the recent press release announcing the partnership:

“We are thrilled to combine forces with AIROS Medical for the official launch of the Fist Assist FA-1 device in the United States. This is a huge milestone as we now have a committed, dedicated, and exceptional commercialization arm that is poised to deeply penetrate the United States market. As a vascular surgeon, I have worked with pneumatic devices for lymphedema distributed by AIROS for many years, and I am pleased to see Fist Assist join the AIROS product line of innovative pneumatic products. I am very excited to finalize this alliance and look forward to working with AIROS Medical to grow the United States market for the FA-1 device. Our goal at Fist Assist is to temporarily increase arm vein circulation and relieve minor muscle aches and soreness while making this innovative product available to as many users as possible. This alliance will help us achieve that!”

Fist Assist Devices, LLC, has been selling versions of the FA-1 device in India and Europe. The company received its CE-marking in Europe in 2020 and is cleared in the European Union for vein dilation. FDA-clearance was granted to the company earlier this year to market its FA-1 device with the indications of use for pain relief and increased circulation.

Fist Assist Devices, LLC, also just announced the completion of a clinical trial that evaluated the use of the FA-1 device to promote vein dilation in patients with kidney disease, to enable creation of arteriovenous fistulas and to ensure the safety of the device in this patient population. The positive results are set to be released in various medical journals during the upcoming weeks.

“We are excited to distribute and commercialize the innovative Fist Assist FA-1 device in the United States,” says Chris Allerton, vice president of business development for AIROS Medical. “We have been watching the Fist Assist technology develop over the last few years and awaiting market clearance. We believe that this technology is a ground-breaking product that will help various patients throughout the country. The Fist Assist FA-1 is also a natural extension of our current line of pneumatic compression devices, as many of the physicians would would recommend the Fist Assist FA-1 device to patients also treat lymphedema and venous complications. We are thrilled to be selected to launch and commercialize the Fist Assist FA-1 technology, and we look forward to a mutually-beneficial relationship with Fist Assist Devices for years to come.”

More information about how to purchase the Fist Assist FA-1 device will be available shortly. If you have any questions about the device, the technology, or what types of patients the Fist Assist FA-1 device can help, please contact us immediately.
