The Lymphatic Education & Research Network’s (LE&RN) newly-recognized Centers of Excellence, including a facility at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), have been recognized as leaders paving the way for the diagnosis and treatment of lymphatic disease.

The virtual Centers of Excellence 2020 Summit, State-of-the-Art Lymphatic Medicine, will be held on October 2-3, 2020. The Summit will be hosted by Stanford University School of Medicine and LE&RN, and be led by Stanley Rockson, M.D., of Stanford University. Presentations will be made by each of LE&RN’s newly designated Comprehensive and Network Centers of Excellence.

According to LE&RN:

LE&RN Centers of Excellence (COE) in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Lymphatic Diseases (LD) have been designed to increase access to the best possible multi-disciplinary clinical care and services for individuals affected by LD and their families through a geographically diverse network of local and/or regional clinical centers.

In addition to clinical and social services, the Centers will provide professional and lay education in the geographic areas they serve, are involved in LD clinical research, and work with LE&RN locally and internationally in its efforts to continually improve the lives of those affected by LD and their families. Applications to become a LE&RN Center of Excellence are open to institutions globally on an annual basis.

These Centers share LE&RN’s commitment to quality care and are committed to a team approach of working with LE&RN and Patient Affiliate Boards to continually monitor and improve care. Those institutions awarded a LE&RN Center of Excellence designation are subject to an extensive review process described in the Centers of Excellence Program Application.

Medical practitioners, investigators, therapists, healthcare professionals, and patients living with LD are invited to attend. CME credits for qualifying personnel are also being offered. For registration information, please visit learn.ticketspice.com/coe-2020-virtual-summit.

AIROS Medical is a past and present sponsor of LE&RN, and members of our team will attend the summit.

For reference, below is a list of recognized Centers of Excellence and their specific designations. You can also learn more about LE&RN’s Centers of Excellence standards, including a video presentation by the organization’s President & CEO, William Repicci.
