March 6 is World Lymphedema Day! Celebrated every year as part of Lymphedema Awareness Month, World Lymphedema Day aims to educate the public about this chronic condition that affects between 150-250 million people worldwide.
March is Lymphedema Awareness Month, during which the clinical, patient, and advocacy communities, as well as the private sector, join forces to increase awareness of this chronic condition. We are proud to be partnering with various organizations to do our part in spreading the word.
The Lymphatic Education & Research Network’s (LE&RN) newly-recognized Centers of Excellence, including a facility at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), have been recognized as leaders paving the way for the diagnosis and treatment of lymphatic disease.
We are proud to announce that AIROS will again sponsor the annual “Run/Walk to Fight Lymphedema & Lymphatic Diseases,” presented by the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN). Actor Kathy Bates is the national spokesperson for LE&RN.
